4/5 Stars.
An interesting experimental compilation cd this is. A versatile different exploration of sound and music. "Imperial Redux" by Craig Leonard opens the cd with his royal theme as an intro. A beautiful piano with electronic, guitar and drum machine coming afterwards in Shaw-Han Liem "The Mountain Man Interrupted." A mellow acoustic guitar track called "Globetrotting" with Mark Prier and company telling places they never been before, which is one of my favorite off the comp. Jillian Locke do [sic] her version of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" by humminig [sic] in "Iron Hum." The classical "Duet with Glenn" by Charlene Lau have a beautiful baroque style. Ingenue Chaperone used a loop sample of his ex-girlfriend talking on his answer machine with a drum machine behind her in "Jerk". Sal Randolph electronic ambient track "Union Square" is another good favorite of mine, which I have to say it really stands the disc out. This compilation is absolutely very different. This is more of a open mind experimentation.
